We are excited to be starting a project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Extensive research has been carried out to establish potential partners in the DRC. We have identified some fantastic organisations that we are developing relationships with in terms of implementing Village Savings and Loans projects.

The main area that we are focussing on for the projects is the Kivu region. Some may ask why the DRC? The DRC is one of the poorest countries of the world. It has seen many years of violence and unrest, recovery is slow and currently the DRC is one of the least developed and most desperate of the African countries.

At This Is EPIC our hearts are to see those living in extreme poverty rise out of it and in the DRC over 75% of the people live below the poverty line. We believe that we can have a positive impact into the lives of people in the DRC through our Village Savings and Loans projects.

Funding will be required for this project. Budgets are yet unknown, but if you have an interest in helping us to develop these projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo then please contact Louise Smith
